The structural change in the labour market presents major challenges to continuing education and training (CET) in Germany. The National Skills Strategy is an important contribution to advancing the CET system and strengthening the CET culture.
The National Skills Strategy was implemented under the direction of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in close collaboration with the strategy partners, which include the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Federal Employment Agency, the Conference of Economic Ministers and Standing Conference of Education Ministers of the Länder, trade unions, and employer and business associations.
